Where to find passengers in Perth

You could drive all around WA, but sticking to the hotspots, and driving at certain times of day, can help you find more passengers and earn more.

When to drive

  • Weekday mornings - 5am to 9am
  • Weekday evenings - 5pm to 8pm
  • Friday and Saturday til Late
  • Sunday during the day

How to do Perth airport pickups

Your riders will automatically pay an additional $3 airport fee on top of their normal fare, but you'll need to read, understand and agree to Perth Airport's terms and conditions before you can start picking up passengers at this hotspot.

To make pickups, you need to wait in the rideshare driver's area and join a virtual queue. Each terminal has its own section, and you will only receive trip requests if you're in the appropriate driver's area.

Once you're in, you'll remain in the queue until you leave the area, reject a trip request, go offline or turn off your phone. Note that you should follow instructions given by airport personnel, and that use of the holding area is only free for the first hour. After that, overstay charges will start applying at standard short term car park rates.

      Hi Andy,

Thanks for leaving a question on finder.

Definitely. Porsche Cayenne will fall in category UberBLACK. UberBLACK vehicles are the “original Uber”; high-end hire cars delivered to your location through the app. UberBLACK vehicles in Australia need to meet the following requirements:

      – Be a 2010 model or later
      – Have current state registration
      – Have official, registered Hire Car (HC) number plates in NSW and Victoria, an Omnibus licence in Perth and MV registration plates in Adelaide
      – Must be in excellent condition
      – Be an approved make and model

Please send me a message if you need anything else. :)

      Cheers,
      Joel

      Hi Andy,

      Thanks for getting in touch!

While we can provide you with general information, please note that we’re a product comparison website and we do not represent any company we feature on our site. We’re here to assist you in your buying decision process hence we cannot recommend product / service that is rightfully fit for you.

Uber requires a valid licence to operate. If your licence is lost, unfortunately, you are not allowed to drive with Uber.

To become an Uber driver in Perth, it’s a minimum requirement that all applicants must:

      Be aged 21 or older
      Be driving an Uber-approved vehicle
Hold a full WA driver’s licence. Provisional (P) licenses don’t qualify.
Have held a full driver’s licence in any state or territory for at least 12 months
Have their vehicle appropriately covered by third party property car insurance at least, or comprehensive car insurance. Customised rideshare insurance is also worthwhile considering.
Hold an F-extension for their driver’s license, issued by the Department of Transport. This involves a background and medical check.
Complete a free vehicle inspection at a registered Uber inspection site

      Hope this helps.

      Regards,
      Nikki

      Hi Matt,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Unfortunately, Toyota Hi-Ace is not included in any of the approved vehicles for Uber as they require a 4-door vehicle. You may refer to the list of vehicles (Brand and Model) above by clicking the hyperlinked “Click here” under the column of Eligible Models.

      I hope this helps.

Let us know if there is anything that we may assist you with.
