Alex Hourigan
Hey chicks, I'm Al.
Sally McMullen
And I'm Sal.
Alex Hourigan
And this is Jack!
Jack Millar
Hey guys, I'm Jack.
Sally McMullen
He's the third broke chick.
Jack Millar
I didn't know I was a broke chick until like about five minutes ago.
Now you know! But if you're just tuning in this is Two Broke Chicks, the show that shares life lessons from the gals, for the gals.
Yes, I'm on of the gals.
Alex Hourigan
You're one of the gals!
Jack Millar
I'm ready.
Sally McMullen
You're the gal.
Alex Hourigan
If you don't have an internet connection or a television, you may not know who Jack is. If so, what are you doing? But Jack is the fabulous MAFS king, and is basically an icon to us all. And we literally met Jack last night.
Jack Millar
Yeah.
Alex Hourigan
At Dom's Showpo launch.
Jack Millar
Which was awesome, by the way.
Alex Hourigan
It was amazing.
Sally McMullen
It was great.
Alex Hourigan
And we're all best friends now. So we thought, Jack, why don't you come on the show tomorrow. Jack said yes.
Sally McMullen
And here we are! The rest is history.
Jack Millar
Legit, and we've just had a lovely little pub lunch and now we're here to be in your ear holes, which is always good time. So we start every episode with our life lesson of the week. Should we throw them straight under the bus?
Sally McMullen
I think so.
Alex Hourigan
Yeah. All right. Jack has an incredible life lesson of the week.
Jack Millar
Look, if you've ever watched the show, and forward slash me as person, you know that I bloody love dogs. And do you want to know the worst thing about like, you get home you've had a stressful day, you turn on a movie, you don't know what's coming on. You don't want the dog to die in the movie.
Alex Hourigan
Oh my god, it's the worst.
Sally McMullen
You think you're in for like a really wholesome rom com time,
Jack Millar
Yeah!
Sally McMullen
Dog's dead.
Alex Hourigan
Trauma.
Jack Millar
Straight up trauma.
Alex Hourigan
Trauma.
Jack Millar
It's terrible.
Alex Hourigan
Trauma.
Jack Millar
No one wants that.
Alex Hourigan
No one wants that!
Jack Millar
So, life lesson, doesthedogdie.com
Alex Hourigan
Incredible!
Jack Millar
Quick check, does the dog die? If no, proceed with your day, you'll have a lovely night and a great sleep.
Alex Hourigan
How good?
Sally McMullen
And avoid so much trauma.
Jack Millar
Absolutely. I mean unless you're a sadistic person and want to watch those movies.
Oh! Get out of here! We were talking about I Am Legend and I was like, "Oh, I love that movie but I really hate it when the dog dies".
Sally McMullen
And I was like, "Why did you bring that up? I blocked that out!" .
Alex Hourigan
That is incredible. J'adore.
Sally McMullen
What a solid resource.
Alex Hourigan
Because you know as well when someone's recommending a movie to you and you're like, "Oh, but I don't want to watch it. Because what if the dog dies?". And they're like, "No, no. Do you know what? They turned out fine". But what happens if you don't have that friend?
Sally McMullen
Yeah, exactly.
Alex Hourigan
Now you do, you have Jack. And his life lesson of the week.
Jack Millar
And the interwebs and whoever runs doesthedogdie.com
What a legend.
Thank you, guys.
Alex Hourigan
What an absolute king, queen, my liege.
Sally McMullen
Yeah, we'll pop it in the show notes to save you a whole lot of heartache.
Alex Hourigan
Oh, yeah. Alright Sal, hit me, what's your life lesson of the week?
Sally McMullen
Okay, mine is, you know, quick and easy. My fav. Stop putting off those life admin tasks that take five minutes.
Alex Hourigan
No!
Sally McMullen
You are crushing your own soul by doing this.
Alex Hourigan
Is this a passive aggressive attack?
Sally McMullen
No! I just did a bunch of them on the weekend and felt so much lighter. So I chased up, you know, some of our concert tickets. Sorry, babe, we can't get a refund for Trixie and Cartier. You're finding out on the show.
Alex Hourigan
That's okay, I'll just kill myself now.
Jack Millar
Oh boy.
Sally McMullen
But I chased that up. I like, called my bank about something else. I went into the bank and cashed a cheque, because apparently cheques are still a thing?
Jack Millar
You haven't done that, you've been meaning to do that for like, four weeks.
Sally McMullen
Are you saying four weeks? Try eight months, babe.
Alex Hourigan
Okay.
Sally McMullen
That's been hanging over my shoulder.
Jack Millar
I don't know what your concept of time is.
Sally McMullen
But all of those things literally took me five minutes and each one I just felt like a weight taken off my shoulders with each one.
Jack Millar
You know the saying,
Sally McMullen
So this is your sign.
Jack Millar
If it takes less than five minutes, do it now. Perfect example, taking the trash out.
Sally McMullen
Exactly.
Jack Millar
It's like, "I'll do it tomorrow morning". No, that takes less than five minutes. Do it now.
So if you're listening and you've got that email, you need to reply to, that little chore you need to do, you need to pay that fine because you got a parking ticket two weeks ago, and you've been putting it off? Definitely not me. Just do it.
Sally McMullen
Exactly.
Alex Hourigan
Just do it.
Sally McMullen
Okay, what's your life lesson of the week?
Jack Millar
My life lesson is, this one's really for the girls.
Sally McMullen
Jack, strap in!
Jack Millar
I'm one of the girls now, you're forgetting.
Alex Hourigan
You are one of the girls! The first day of Aunt Flo for me is horrendous. It's like I am in a horror movie getting stabbed multiple times in the uterus and I'm like just take it out.
Sally McMullen
Just take it.
Alex Hourigan
You know what? Have it. I don't even need it anymore. And I've always been like a, pop multiple Advil, put a heat pack on and cry. So my roommates from Ireland and she was like, "Oh, have you ever tried this?", I'm gonna try say it, Naprogesic.
Jack Millar
Naprogesic. Did you know know about this?
Alex Hourigan
No!
Jack Millar
I knew about this.
Alex Hourigan
How?!
Jack Millar
If you're really bad, Maxigesic, which is a stronger one.
Sally McMullen
Holy moly, I haven't heard of that.
Alex Hourigan
Oh my god, I have another one!
Jack Millar
I need a microphone to drop.
Alex Hourigan
Oh my god. Well, yeah. So my roommate was like, my sister used to send this home to me in Ireland, and went out and got me that and some Aero bar chocolate. Mint, the superior chocolate choice
Jack Millar
Are we saying it is mint or the mint Aero bar?
Mint Aero bar. Not to be confused with the chocolate Aero bar, that can get in the bin.
Yeah, mint Aero bar, the only one that exists. Only one that should exist.
Alex Hourigan
But Naprogesic, mint Aero bar. Who's got a period? Not me.
Sally McMullen
No.
Alex Hourigan
Don't know her. Who's Aunt Flo? She ain't visiting. She was, but you know what I mean. Before we go into anything else, make sure that you consult your doctor before you take any vitamins, medications or anything like that because everyone's different. But yeah, just cute little disclaimer so we don't get sued.
Jumping straight into the episode. How's life been, babes? Because you've been on a whirlwind of a time.
Jack Millar
Yep.
Alex Hourigan
You were on MAFS, that happened. That was something that happened in your life.
Jack Millar
Believe it or not, yeah, it did.
Alex Hourigan
Yeah. How was that? In like, in like three words, how would you say your time on MAFS was?
Jack Millar
Crazy, has to be up there. Definitely fun. And I would be rude not to say partially traumatic.
Sally McMullen
That's four but we'll take it.
Jack Millar
Oh, but it's kind of like, you know, we'll put a hyphen in between those two. But, genuinely like MAFS was and is this massive churning, like, train that just, like, everyone's invested in? I had no idea. I've never seen it before.
People are like,
Sally McMullen
Wow!
Alex Hourigan
So into it.
Jack Millar
Oh, their lives revolve around it.
Sally McMullen
Oh, yeah. Invested.
Alex Hourigan
Like, opinions are so necessary to them to have on it. Which is wild.
Jack Millar
Yeah.
Sally McMullen
So what made you want to go on it if you've never watched that?
Jack Millar
Yeah, so two reasons. I guess on the relationship side, it was, I'd been in a long term relationship for years about, it was maybe like three years before I went on the show. And within those three years after that, had little sort of relationships, that kind of would start to happen, either I would end it or they would end it and it was just like this constant circle of nothing going over three months. And I was just like, the only common factor in all of those is me.
Sally McMullen
We love a self-aware king!
Alex Hourigan
Oh my god!
Jack Millar
Okay, I'm doing something wrong here. You know how on Facebook, there's things that pop up on your feed. Now, on the feed popped up a, well I didn't actually see it, my friends tagged me in it, was the Married at First Sight applications for 2022. And I got tagged by about, three of my friends. And I was like, "Well, you know what? I'm gonna bloody do it".
Alex Hourigan
Do it.
Jack Millar
So, put in the application. Off I went, filled out way more questions than I've ever actually asked myself. That's where I learned most of it.
Alex Hourigan
Little therapy sesh. Like, what does make me happy?
Sally McMullen
What is the meaning of life?
Jack Millar
What do you look for in a partner? Who, like you know, all those sort of in depth questions about yourself, your personal psyche, and also what you're looking for. Went through that and then filmed a little video, like, one minute. I was just like, "Hi, my name is Jack". Yeah, anyway, I think I was in my lounge room, it was pretty funny. They played it back when we're on the show. So that all happened. And I basically got the call, and sort of saying there was a fair few, like, little bits and bobs I had do along the way, like, psychological stuff, different profiles.
Alex Hourigan
Wouldn't pass that test.
Sally McMullen
Literally, red flag!
Jack Millar
Anyways, no, they look for those.
Sally McMullen
Oh true! Get straight through.
Jack Millar
But no, I did all that. So anyway, you guys both want to be on next season? I'll see what I can do. No, so I did all that. And then when I got the call, I was like, I didn't say yes, straightaway. Took me about a week before I did. I was calling my mum. She was like a little bit, "hmm, maybe maybe".Then, I don't know why I thought to do this, I called my friend that tagged me in the god damn post, I was like, "I've actually got a, got a"
Alex Hourigan
I'm in!
Jack Millar
I can do it, if I want to do it.
Alex Hourigan
Yeah.
Jack Millar
And they were just like, "Go! Go! Go! Go!"
Alex Hourigan
Love.
Sally McMullen
Enabler.
Alex Hourigan
What a good friend!
Jack Millar
Great enabler. And so I went for it. And it was an experience.
Sally McMullen
Oh my god. Well, I mean, Alex has been asked to go on MAFS, twice.
Alex Hourigan
No. No.
Sally McMullen
Should she do it?
Jack Millar
Yes.
Alex Hourigan
No.
Sally McMullen
Really? I've been saying no, I'm the opposite of the enabler.
Jack Millar
Why are you saying no?
Sally McMullen
Because, I don't want,
Jack Millar
Mind you, you obviously know her better than me. So there might be a few skeletons you're trying to.
Sally McMullen
The last 12 hours have been very illuminating for all of us. I feel like we've known each other for a lifetime. But I just think that Al couldn't, and shouldn't, have to handle the hate that she would get.
Alex Hourigan
I'm very sensitive.
Sally McMullen
She's very sensitive. She's like a quintessential Aries like, fiery on the outside but like, a soft teddy on the inside.
Jack Millar
There's something to fix that, it's called Naprogesic.
Sally McMullen
Rewind three minutes.
Alex Hourigan
It's called anti-depressants, babe.
Sally McMullen
That too, yeah.
Alex Hourigan
They like did the whole like message on Instagram and I was like, I don't think I could. So like, props to you because I just don't think I'd do well with people's unwarranted opinions. Like I'm just like,
Jack Millar
Oh, and that's what the show is all about.
Alex Hourigan
Legit! It's like everyone just sharing their opinion on something they have nothing to weigh in for, don't have the context. And I will, like someone will comment on a TikTok of ours being like, someone commented being like, "This is what happens when superficial people try to sound intelligent". And I was like, ring the bell, put me in.
Sally McMullen
Ding ding! I'm massaging her shoulders and I'm like, "Alright, so remember".
Alex Hourigan
Sal's so good, she's just like, "Just leave it".
Jack Millar
I'm imagining something like Rocky right now. Like sweat flying.
Alex Hourigan
Yeah, I got my towel around my neck.
Jack Millar
The big coat, you're coming out, like shaking the arms off, boxing gloves. Great.
Yeah, so it's just not me. I don't think I would shine in that predicament. And that's okay. That's why we have a podcast. Everyone's like, "We don't listen to that anyway, it's all good".
Sally McMullen
Yeah, exactly.
Jack Millar
But you were incredible on the show. I was kind of keeping up with it, with like, all the TikToks.
Sally McMullen
We were doing like the Tiktok part 1, 2, 3.
Alex Hourigan
I feel like I was seeing like all the highlight reels.
Jack Millar
There were a lot of TikToks on it. I didn't watch a lot of the, I'm very, very new to TikTok. As in like, I started it straight after the show, and I'm still learning how to go do music. It's so confusing.
Alex Hourigan
I love it.
Jack Millar
So explain. So
It was like, I feel like it's basically a highlight reel that if you didn't want to get all the filler scenes of a show, because they still have an hour to fill every night, Monday to Friday?
Sorry, Sunday through, oh shit. Sunday to Wednesday.
Sunday to Wednesday, which is a lot of time to fill. So I feel like there were some things that people would care about, not care about. And then TikTok, it's like the highlight reel of the drama.
Sally McMullen
The juicy parts.
Alex Hourigan
Yeah. Which is great for me, because I don't have time to watch like an hour show. We've already said this to you last night.
Jack Millar
Yeah. You got a fresh opinion on me. That's good.
Alex Hourigan
Yeah! Actually, we hate him. There were obviously highs and lows and like, quite heated moments. And you really stuck to who you are, and Dom's back and your partner's back in that. You've had interviews where, you know, there were moments where like the group quite separated you guys, and you've said, "I wasn't there to make friends, I was there to find a partner and be there for my partner". So can you talk us through that, like a little bit more, and how, I don't know how, like you came to kind of have that strong stance in yourself.
Jack Millar
I don't know whether it's just the way I was brought up, whether it's just what I feel is right. So for me in those scenarios, and I knew what I was there for. And I had those, you know, in that circumstance, it was Dom. I was there to meet a partner. Absolute bonus if you make friends, which I have, obviously, you know, I've made, met all these amazing people. And you know why we met last night because I'm still great friends with Dom, Ella, and you know, the guys as well. But I'm just trying to really reflect on why I made those decisions. And genuinely, it's just because I thought it was the right thing to do. And that's sort of the person that I am like, I've always been the type of individual that gives up everything for my friends and family. Like, specifically, my friends, because your friends are the family you choose. And I 100%, I mean, you can ask any of my closest friends, you know, like, it's just, they're like, "Oh, Jack, I need a lift. Oh Jack, it's 3am", whatever I'm just like, "Yeah, cool. See you in five minutes".
Alex Hourigan
Loyal.
Jack Millar
Like, it's not even being about loyalty. It's just I think that's what friendship is.
Sally McMullen
Yeah.
Jack Millar
Friendship should be that idea of like, you know, you give everything and that's the same with a relationship, same with a partner. Because fundamentally, a relationship is built on friendship. You know, you've got to get along with each other. I know, that may not be true for everyone. But that's what you got to really go for. And so during the whole MAFS experience, and even before that, and beyond that, that's just kind of person I am. So I felt that was the right thing to do for Dom in those moments of, whatever you want to call them, dram a, we'll call them.
Alex Hourigan
What? Drama on MAFS? Absolutely not!
Jack Millar
Who would have known?
Sally McMullen
Oh my god, but I think that's the difference, perhaps is that you weren't going there to get an influencer deal at the end. And not that there's anything wrong with that, but you were there for a relationship and perhaps that's why you stuck to your guns as well.
Jack Millar
And I feel like you can tell that as well. Like that's kind of what happens, people want a certain amount of screen time and do a certain amount of thing for that. Doesn't necessarily work out very well for them. But like,
Tell me more in this accent, please.
Alex Hourigan
I'm like, who was that? Wasn't me. But that like shone through and I think it's also really important because there was very much a situation where it was a majority against a minority.
Jack Millar
Yeah.
Alex Hourigan
With certain amounts of people and to be able to stick to your guns, because do you know what? It's the same in life. It would be easier even with girls in high school, I'm sure with guys as well and everyone, that when there's a group of people ganging up on someone, it can be a lot easier to be like, Do you know what? I'm gonna go with the big group so that I don't.
Jack Millar
It's safety in numbers.
Sally McMullen
Yeah.
Jack Millar
It's the most common thing you know, you've got a an army of 50 people versus one person. It's so much easier to side with the army because you feel like you belong. And it's so much harder to, god, this conversation could go so deep. Like this conversation could really go down a rabbit hole talking about minorities and talking about,
Sally McMullen
Yeah.
Jack Millar
you know, everything that the world is currently dealing with at the moment, let alone my little reality TV show that I just finished.
Sally McMullen
Totally.
Jack Millar
But it's a good example. And it's a good idea to sort of understand the psyche behind people and how they view, you know, or how other people sort of view and how easy it is to slide into something you maybe don't fundamentally agree with. But you won't figure that out until after.
But also that it pays off to not go with numbers.
Sally McMullen
Our show is all about life lessons for the gals, from the gals,
Alex Hourigan
And as the three gals.
Sally McMullen
What was the best life lesson that you've learnt from your experience on MAFS and beyond?
Jack Millar
Yeah, um, for one, I learnt how to take a photograph.
Alex Hourigan
I love that! I feel that though.
Sally McMullen
Priorities!
Alex Hourigan
I saw photos from last night, and I was like, "Bin". Like, no.
Jack Millar
But no, on a more serious note, I guess, personally, I learned a lot how to deal with trauma in a chaotic situation, scenario, and through a chaotic time. So it was about navigating that and how I keep my cool and support other people around me whilst dealing with, I don't know, gunfire that's coming in from every angle. Yeah, that's probably one of the biggest lessons. So maybe, I guess I sort of knew that before. But I've never had a real life example of that before. And that for me, it was like, alright, you can do that. So that's pretty. I don't know. Pat my own back for that one.
Yeah! Go on! Did you ever feel like a deer in headlights at any moment? Like, because I feel like that's, I would, I would panic, because I know, like, sometimes my knee jerk reaction can be like, we're both aries, we know what we're like. But to be like, rrr.
Sally McMullen
Yeah.
Alex Hourigan
Whereas I'd be like, "Wait, like, what do I do in this situation?". Did you ever have those moments?
Jack Millar
Oh, all the time. I wasn't good at this earlier on in life, the idea of like, I used to be a little bit more impulsive with what I said a little bit more emotional, a little bit more.
Alex Hourigan
Can't relate. Can't relate at all.
Jack Millar
But I've been a lot more cool, calm and concise. I don't know, say in the last five years. And I think I can thank my stepfather for that. Because he was just he's, like, really logical.
Sally McMullen
He's like, "Pull your head in".
Jack Millar
Yeah, he's like, "Stop that!". So you know, on the show, and you know, even now, whenever there's sort of that sort of situation, that's pretty hectic or something, I go, "Alright, let's just take a moment here. Just gonna, like think some thoughts".
Alex Hourigan
Take a little beat.
Jack Millar
Take a beat and sort of come back in and go, alright. Because otherwise, I feel like if you jump in guns blazing, situations just escalate. And especially given the scenario we're in, I wasn't into that. Because,
Alex Hourigan
Guns were already blazing.
Sally McMullen
Yeah, exactly!
Alex Hourigan
Like, how can I make this work?
Jack Millar
Honestly, yeah.
Sally McMullen
Gasoline, meet fire.
Alex Hourigan
Yeah!
Jack Millar
Honestly, honestly.
Alex Hourigan
Were you ever there being like, "How did we get to this point?" Like,
Jack Millar
Most nights.
Alex Hourigan
That's me in my everyday life, and I'm not even in a reality TV show. I'm like, "How did we get here? Oh, yes, that was my fault. Very good". So that was the best life lesson you learned from your experience. What was the worst life lesson you learned from your experience?
Jack Millar
I wish that I spoke up more. I probably recognise things and stuck to my like, "It'll blow over, it'll be fine".
Alex Hourigan
Yeah.
Jack Millar
"It will diffuse a bit". And I think at some, some stages, maybe earlier on, I should have been a little bit more assertive and a little bit more, I know that it doesn't come across maybe from the show, but you did notice in the show, I was a pretty quiet character. Until about halfway when I've actually got my words. And I sort of wish that I had that, I learnt a lot from Dom in that regard. That's not a bad thing that I learnt. But definitely something that I can see myself doing in real life. Still, it's like sort of avoiding the chaos, we'll still call it, because I've been following that theme all day. Avoiding that chaos, and when, I think it's actually really important for someone to, especially now with me, and I'm really new to having a platform, having, there's people listening to what I'm saying.
Sally McMullen
Yeah
Jack Millar
So now I've almost in my own right, I feel like I've got a responsibility to be able to speak up. And if for me, it's just like, speak about the things that I believe in, and I trust in.
Sally McMullen
Yeah
Jack Millar
And I think that's still something I'm learning. But in terms of the worst life lesson, is the fact that I didn't do that earlier.
Alex Hourigan
That was still really lovely.
Yeah! I thought you were gonna be like, "People are trash".
Yeah.
Jack Millar
I won't, I won't say anything bad about people. You know what, that's just not the person that I am.
Alex Hourigan
I know. We already like we had that conversation before this, that we didn't even want you coming on here to just trash talk.
Sally McMullen
Yeah.
Alex Hourigan
Or like, create drama or anything.
Jack Millar
No, you just didn't want me coming on here at all.
Alex Hourigan
He cam over last night and was like, "Guys, I'm coming on the podcast". I'm like, "Who is he?" We're like, "who's that guy?".
Sally McMullen
Okay, so we did ask our followers if they had any questions for you.
Jack Millar
Shit.
Sally McMullen
So we do have to ask just one.
Jack Millar
Did people actually right in questions?
Alex Hourigan
We have to ask, we have to ask.
Sally McMullen
Yes, and this was like undoubtedly the most frequently asked question.
Jack Millar
Okay.
Sally McMullen
So blame the followers! Is there any chance that you and Dom would ever rekindle the flame?
Jack Millar
Why are you really giddy saying that?
Sally McMullen
We just really want that!
Jack Millar
You didn't even watch the show! You admitted that last night!
Sally McMullen
We saw you two last night! It's a beautiful friendship and I'm asking on behalf of the listeners, so tell me!
Jack Millar
She wants to know.
Alex Hourigan
She wants to know.
Jack Millar
Apparently the people want to know.
Alex Hourigan
The people want to know!
Jack Millar
Look, in terms of any chance? I don't know, is the simple answer to that question. I'm not going yes, there's an absolute chance or no, there's absolutely not. Because I simply don't know what the future holds. At the moment, how I feel right now, and I think, from what I believe how Don feels right now, it's not gonna happen right now. We're still thick as thieves. There's a lot going on in both of our lives. I'm sure you guys have seen how busy she is and what she's doing.
Sally McMullen
She's killing it.
Jack Millar
And she's absolutely nailing it. And I'm so so proud of her. But yeah, in terms of in the immediate future, I don't think so.
It's kind of like Sal and I. Like everyone's always like, "I know Sal's in like a 14 year relationship. And Alex, is single, but like, is there any chance?". And I'm like, "100%", and Sal's like, "No". So then we just meet in the middle. And I'm like, "Will they won't they?", and Sal's like, "No".
Sally McMullen
And Al's like, "Maybe?"
Alex Hourigan
Maybe? Never say never!
Jack Millar
Takes two to tango and we're at least half way there.
Sally McMullen
I like those odds.
Alex Hourigan
Come to season three and we'll be like, "So guys".
Sally McMullen
"We're engaged!"
Alex Hourigan
"We're coming out!"
Sally McMullen
Exactly.
Jack Millar
Am I here for a live proposal right now?
Alex Hourigan
We tried to get married in Vegas once.
Sally McMullen
Yeah, we did.
Jack Millar
How did that work out?
Alex Hourigan
Apparently, it's legal globally, which we thought it was only going to be legal in America. Like same sex marriage wasn't legal in Australia. So we were like, if we get married in Vegas, it won't count in Australia. So we can be like, "Guess what? We're married in America". Yeah, it's like it's legal globally. So good thing we found out.
Jack Millar
Prenup.
Alex Hourigan
Yeah!
Jack Millar
I'm sure the Elvis would have sorted that out for you. "Just sign this little prenup right here and you'll be right on your way. Thank you very much".
To kind of finish up the ep, you've lived an incredible whirlwind of a life in the last year, to say the least. Moving forward, looking forward. My new best friend Jack, what are we working on? What are we looking forward to doing? What are we excited about? We're all going to the Logies together, by the way, we decided that at the car. Yeah, we're gonna go on my Nissen Tiider and wear the Justin Timberlake and Britney denim dress and suit. Jack's gonna wear the dress.
Sally McMullen
Obviously, goes without saying.
Jack Millar
Noted. And that's something I'm kind of still figuring out because coming into this world of, I really hate the word celebrity. Because celebrity implies like a different social tier away from other people, and I really don't like that. So when people come up to me and say, "What is it like being a celebrity now?". I'm like, Well, no, I still pay rent. I still live in the same place I lived in before the show and watch,
Alex Hourigan
And have a really cute dog.
Jack Millar
And have my best little friend Finn in the world. And I'm still living my normal life.
Alex Hourigan
Yeah.
Jack Millar
Right? You know, it's not like I have gone on this reality TV show and now my life has flipped and changed and wild. Still living my day to day life. I'm walking my dog, grabbing a coffee in the morning. I am, that's pretty much all I do at the moment.
Alex Hourigan
I'm going to be at Skittle Lane tomorrow morning being like, "Hey!"
Jack Millar
Head to Skittle Lane to brighten my coffee every morning. But no. So the only things that are really different for me at the moment is really learning about this new world. This new world that includes, there's a thing called Instagram that you've got to use and post on and do all that kind of stuff. There's all this other stuff about the Tok-y of Tiks. I don't even know how to make a video on there and it's bloody wild. I'm trying to figure out how that all works. I'm getting a lot of help from, but to be honest Dom is my biggest help in that because she actually gets it. Ella as well has been awesome. And so I'm kind of trying to navigate how that looks. Cuz I don't want to, and I will never be called an influencer, because I'm not
Alex Hourigan
Nah, babe. Nah, go on, teeth whitenening strips.
Sally McMullen
Skinny Tea? Jack is on it.
Jack Millar
"Ever wondered how I get these white teeth? Try Whitening Glow". But um, I think for me I just really want to align with, I'd love to be a bit of an advocate and have a voice for good. So talking, like for me, talking about the things I want to talk about, you know. Love animals, men's mental health. I really love animals and you know, stuff like that. And I want to form some form of basis into that and just be able to bounce off conversations with people like you guys. I just like talking.
Alex Hourigan
I have a tear in my eye.
Jack Millar
Oh, we were talking about crying before and it is happening.
Sally McMullen
See I told you, we cry every episode.
Alex Hourigan
We love crying. Well, that was incredible. That's easily, definitely wasn't the pub feed that we had before that's made this the favourite episode. But that was so much fun. You're a vibe. You're the third broke chick. He'll be here every week from now on.
Jack Millar
Yeah, I've been roped in. We'll put it in an ongoing calendar invite.
Alex Hourigan
Done and dusted. Tune into our Fact or Cap coming out on Thursday where we argue with Jack on the superior potato. If you don't quite understand what that means, you will on Thursday. It's gonna get a bit spicy.
Sally McMullen
Oh yeah.
Alex Hourigan
It will get a bit spicy. The drama is actually coming on Thursday.
Sally McMullen
You thought MAFS was dramatic?
Alex Hourigan
Absolutely not.
Jack Millar
We're talking like, like what are they called Ghost chilli peppers. Like, that's how spicy it's gonna get.
Alex Hourigan
