True Detective Season One comes to Presto in January
Cary Fukunaga and Nic Pizzolatto's stellar first season of True Detective is heading to Australian streaming service Presto.
As we now know, Season One of True Detective left a gaping hole in our hearts that Season Two just couldn't fill. If you need a palate cleanser after Rachel McAdams and Colin Farrell's foray into the gritty world of True Detective, then Presto has you covered.
If you're after a thrilling but slightly grim way to spend New Year's day, on 1 January 2016 Presto will begin streaming True Detective: Season One in its entirety. It makes sense for the story to appear on Presto, which is co-owned by Foxtel, since Foxtel has a long-standing deal with HBO to show its original programming on its Showcase channel.
Season One is told as a flashback narrative, beginning in 2012 when two deeply troubled detectives Rust Cohle and Marty Hart (played respectively by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson) are questioned about a 1995 investigation involving a religiously motivated murder in the deep south, Louisiana.
