Can I travel from Australia to United States?
Permanent residents and citizens of the US are able to return home from Australia. Otherwise, Australians travelling to the US after being in Australia, Chile, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and Canada are able to head to the US without the need for a special permission when travelling via air (current visa and ESTA visa waivers still apply).
If you’re Australian, but have been outside of the above countries, you may still qualify for an exemption to enter the country.

No, travellers from Australia do not require a COVID-specific permit but standard visa requirements do apply.
Do I need proof I've had a vaccine to travel?
No, travellers from Australia do not require a COVID-19 vaccination for entry.
Do I need proof I've had a negative test before departing United States?
All Australian travellers are required to present a negative COVID-19 test result, taken within three days of arrival, or proof that you overcame the virus within the last 90 days. Airlines will ask all passengers from Australia to present this information before boarding.
