How can I pay for my foreign currency order?
You can pay for your foreign cash using the following methods:
Using a credit or debit card to pay.
You should be aware of the following if you plan to use your debit or credit card to complete your foreign currency order.
- If you’re collecting the foreign currency from the airport. The order has to be made between 1 and 21 business days prior to the collection date.
- For non-airport collections. Orders must be made between 3 to 21 business from the collection date.
The card that you use to make the order must be in the same name as the person who is ordering the cash, and you have to present the card when you collect the cash — so the person who orders the cash must be the person who collects the cash. You also can’t use a virtual account like a VCARD to pay for your foreign cash order.
Using BPAY to pay for your foreign cash.
- If you’re collecting the foreign currency from the airport. The BPAY order must be made within 3 and 21 days of the date of collection.
- For non-airport collections. You have to make your order within 5 and 21 days of the time you plan to collect your order.
If you’re paying for your foreign currency order using BPAY, you have make the payment within 12 hours of ordering the cash, otherwise there’s a chance Travelex will not accept your foreign currency order.
What are the limits for ordering foreign currency online?
The following limits apply to online foreign currency orders:
- A minimum order value of $250.
- In 24 hours, you can order up to AU$5,000.
- In 21 days, you can order up to AU$20,000
What if I want to cancel my foreign currency order?
You can cancel your foreign currency order at any time and the money will be refunded back to your account. A fee of $25 is charged when you cancel a Travelex foreign currency order.

When you go to collect your foreign currency order, you need to show the following:
