Where is it? New Zealand is in the South Pacific Ocean, 1,500km east of Australia.
How do I get there? Flights to a number of cities in New Zealand depart from the Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns, Adelaide and Perth. Airlines include Air New Zealand, Qantas, Virgin, Jetstar, Emirates and AirAsia. The journey takes between 3 and 6 hours.
When should I go? For winter sports, visit between June and August. For ideal weather, visit in summer, from December to February. To avoid the crowds, the in-between months of March to May and September to November are best.
What should I do?
