How works depends on the course you choose.

Some classes, such as the Certificate IV in Ageing Support are based on self-paced study. This means there's no set duration for the length of the course, offering a higher level of flexibility. These courses typically have a set number of hours rather than a time frame allocated to them.

Although it varies from course to course, most include access to online video tutorials and textbook guides. In the case of a Vet Assistant Certificate, students are sent customised kits with the practical tools and equipment needed for study at home.

In terms of examinations, the Undergraduate Certificate in Hospitality Financial Management is one example where students are required to partake in online tests, exams, reporting, research assignments, problem-solving exercises and group projects.

Funding options include FEE-HELP, interest-free payment plans and weekly payment plans.

Unfortunately, some short courses and certificates aren't eligible for government funding.
