Who offers the best price?
Trafalgar and Insight do not price match, which means you could find a lower rate elsewhere and they would not offer to match it. But which company offers the cheapest trips?
We compared two similar tours with Trafalgar and Insight. Both travelled through Greece and Turkey for eight days and were standard/modern tours.
Trafalgar priced the tour at $2,800 per person while Insight priced it from $3,050 per person.
The verdict: The price difference is minimal, coming in at $250. Trafalgar’s prices are better, but overall both are quite competitive and it’s worth checking in with both to get the best price on your desired tour.
Which offers a wider range of tours?
Trafalgar operates tours in many more locations around the world than Insight. However, both companies have similarly diverse tour types, including tailored holidays, special-interest trips and custom group tours.
The verdict: Trafalgar wins out here for its significantly larger range of destinations.
Any other differences worth noting?
The maximum group size on most Trafalgar tours is 52 guests, and the average is 40-45. On Insight tours, there is a maximum of 40 guests and an average of 32. Insight also encourages solo travellers to pair up to save money on single supplements.
What are the deals like?
Deals from Trafalgar cover certain tours, locations and dates. Discounts are available for solo travellers, returning travellers, children, group bookings and multi-trip bookings.
Recent offers have included free single supplement for selected Best of Greece and Best of Turkey tours, 12% off Highlights of Vietnam tours, 15% off Best of Italy and Sicily tours and 15% off the Britain and Ireland Panorama tours.
Insight’s deals cover particular dates, destinations and trip types. It also offers discounts for early payment, group bookings, solo travellers willing to share accommodation, children aged five to seventeen, three guests sharing a single room and returning customers.
