TPG offers half-price mobile plans
Score 7GB of data for only $19.99 per month.
TPG’s latest deal for budget-conscious mobile plan buyers is oferring a range of its mobile plans at reduced prices for the first 6 months of plan eligibility. This brings its Small mobile plan down to a very affordable $10 per month, while its Medium 3GB plan costs $15 per month for the first 6 months. Moving up the scales, the Large 7GB plan costs $19.99 per month for the first 6 months, and applying the same offer to the Extra Large 10GB plan brings it down to $24.99.
After that 6-month period, however, prices go back up to $19.99 for the Small plan, $29.99 for the Medium plan, $34.99 for the Large plan and $39.99 for the Extra Large plan. The plan discount is available for new customers only, with all plans operating on a 30 day month-to-month postpaid basis. For all but the Small plan, you also get 100 international calling minutes to use each month.
TPG has also relaunched its prepaid $1 PAYG plan, although as prepaid plans go it’s a slightly less flexible offering. That single dollar nets you 50MB of data and no calling inclusions with a 30-day expiry. Standard national calls are costed at 9.9c per minute plus a 10c flagfall, taken out of your prepaid balance, but you have to pay a $20 upfront fee "for excluded call, other excluded usage and excess data charges". Payment is via direct debit or credit card only, and it will automatically be topped up if it falls under $10 credit. As with any prepaid plan you can cancel at any time, but TPG advises you’ll forfeit any prepaid balance if you do so.
