Compare TPG ADSL2+ plans
TPG built its brand by offering great value ADSL2+ plans. Compare what it has to offer.
What you need to know about TPG ADSL2+ plans
After a number of high-profile acquisitions and mergers, TPG now holds the title of the second-largest Internet service provider (ISP) in Australia, in large part thanks to its extensive ADSL2+ network.
While the country is transitioning to the NBN, TPG still has a wide range of ADSL2+ plans on offer for customers. These include standalone naked ADSL2+ plans, as well as ADSL2+ bundles, which come with home phone line rental as part of the monthly price.
For areas where TPG doesn't have its own infrastructure, the ISP also offers off-net plans that use Telstra's wholesale network to deliver Internet services.
Contract length depends on the type of ADSL2+ connection, with home bundles available on either an 18-month or a month-to-month contract and naked ADSL2+ plans available on a 12- or 18-month contract. TPG's off-net plans are all offered on a 6-month contract period.
What are the different TPG ADSL2+ bundles?
TPG's ADSL2+ home broadband bundles include home phone line rental and broadband services in a single bill. You can choose your contract length (either 18 months or month-to-month), your data allowance (20GB, 500GB or unlimited) and your call inclusions (PAYG, Oz Talk, Big Talk or Extra Talk).
For the standalone ADSL2+ plans, contract length is a choice of either 12 or 18 months, while data inclusions sit at either 50GB, 150GB, 500GB or unlimited. Off-net plans come with either 50GB, 200GB, 300GB or 500GB of data, which are all available on a 6-month contract.
For the plans without unlimited data, the included data allowance is split between peak and off-peak usage. The one exception to this is the 500GB off-net plan, which lets you use your data at any time.
How much do TPG ADSL2+ plans cost?
When it comes to the ADSL2+ bundles, pricing starts at $39.99 per month and goes up to $59.99 per month, without any call inclusions. If you want to add a call bundle, TPG offers three tiers:
- Oz Talk includes unlimited standard local, national and national mobile calls for $10 a month.
- Big Talk includes unlimited local and standard national calls, plus 100 international minutes for $10 a month.
- Extra Talk includes unlimited local, standard national and national mobile calls, plus unlimited international calls to 15 countries for $20 a month.
The set-up fee for home bundles is either $79.99 for an 18-month contract or $99.99 for a month-to-month contract.
Standalone naked ADSL2+ plans start at $29.99 per month and go up to $59.99 per month. If you opt for a 12-month contract, there's a $59.99 set-up fee as well.
Off-net ADSL2+ plans from TPG will cost between $49.99 and $99.99 per month, with a $59.95 set-up fee.
