All eyes are on Canada.

Sorry, this sale is no longer running. Check our list of current flight sales to find a bargain!

Last week, Air China dropped the cost of flights to Vancouver to $956 return. This week, as if in response, China Southern Airlines has brought us discounted fares to another hot Canadian city: Toronto.

Flights departing Melbourne start from $1,007 return, which arguably isn't the cheapest we've seen for this route (that award goes to Philippine Airlines, which offered tickets from $797 return earlier this year) but is still exceptionally priced for the time of year. Travel is for June 2018, which marks the end of spring and the beginning of summer, so you'll be able to experience the warming weather and beat the crowds that start to flock around mid-July and August.

Departures from other major Australian cities are also well-priced, though you might have to fly during a different period and with a different airline.

We had a snoop around and found these to be the cheapest flights you can book to Toronto from wherever you are right now:
