TK Maxx is a label lovers dream come true and fashion enthusiasts will get to access all the discounts from April.

TK Maxx is an off-price retailer that you've probably heard friends from the UK raving about. Well, TK Maxx is coming to Australia in April this year and it's sure to shake up Australian retail in a big way.

TK Maxx is essentially a department store, but not like we've seen in Australia. All the products and brands are priced up to 60% less than RRP. This isn't because of a constant string of sales or promotions.

So how is this possible? TK Maxx doesn't buy seasonally, they buy throughout the entire year, looking for deals and opportunities. For example, if a brand has overstocked and is selling off bulk fashion items at a low price, TK Maxx will buy it all. Or they might buy up end of season lines for cheap.

TK Maxx uses these opportunities to acquire stock and passes the savings on to shoppers.

This means there is a constant influx of discount pieces and one-off items but it also means there's no re-stock guarantee or guarantee that products will be available at another store. Each TK Maxx will have completely unique stock, so if you see something you like you'll need to snap it up quickly.

Stores in the UK have been known to stock brands like French Connection, Adidas and Levi Strauss. In addition, designer pieces from labels like Vera Wang and Cynthia Rowley have been known to pop-up too.

This will be one of the first ever opportunities for Aussie fashion lovers to score discounts on designer items in store. No more waiting for sales or scouring The Outnet every week. Soon we'll be able to head into a TK Maxx score to hunt for designer bargains.

TK Maxx also offers a different layout and shopping experience from traditional department stores. Instead of items being grouped together the sections are grouped together by size, meaning you can head to the dresses section and can easily browse through all the pieces that will fit you instead of falling in love with something in a size that will never fit.

TK Maxx will be converting all existing Trade Secret locations in Australia to TK Maxx department stores and there will be a few other locations announced soon. You can view all existing locations of Trade Secret stores here.

In addition to fashion items TK Maxx also stocks homewares, manchester, whitegoods, appliances, sports and outdoor items, beauty products and more.

Stay tuned for more information as it is announced!
