Mad Men, Friday Night Lights & Pretty Little Liars hit Netflix Australia

Suits, shoulder-pads and pretty faces. No, it's not the 1980s – Netflix Australia Bolsters Cavalcade

What do Mad Men, Friday Night Lights and Pretty Little Liars all have in common? They all feature impossibly good looking people and are all going to be available to you on demand with the March 24 launch of Netflix Australia. These shows are not available on any of the other two main streaming services in Stan and Presto.

After releasing a comprehensive list of shows available on Netflix Australia yesterday, we found three more to add to the list in Mad Men, Friday Night Lights and Pretty Little Liars.

Mad Men

Mad Men is set in 1960s New York City and is an insider’s look, albeit obscured by cigarette smoke, at the life of an ‘Ad Man’ in an era when glamour, booze and debauchery ruled. Netflix features seasons 1-6.

Friday Night Lights

The multi award winning series, Friday Night Lights, is the TV adaptation of both the 1988 H. G. Bissinger novel and the 2004 Peter Berg film of the same name. The show is a look at the high school football team, the townspeople of Odessa, Texas, and the machinations of a duplicitous few who put football above all. All five seasons are available.

Pretty Little Liars

This show focuses on a group of four high school girls a year after their queen bee has vanished. The girls begin to receive texts from a stranger who threatens them by claiming to know their darkest secrets. Seasons 1-4 are available on the Australian Netflix.

The Australian launch of Netflix is just the tip of the iceberg. While Netflix Australia does not offer as much variety as the US version, it is only a matter of time before the Aussie offering becomes more comprehensive.

      Hi Amanda,

Please note that is an online comparison service and does not represent Netflix Australia. Part 2 of Mad Men’s seventh season only wrapped up in April of this year. So it’s understandable that it’s not yet available. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait too long before the rest of the series is added to Netflix Australia’s library.

      Thank you,
