This week’s game deals: Target clearance strikes again

Brodie Fogg 30 May 2016 NEWS

Every week, VG finder brings you the best gaming deals, discounts and sales in Australia. This week, toys-to-life fans can stock up on amiibo and Dark Souls champions can punish themselves even further with Bloodborne.

Every week, we scour Australian retailers for the best gaming deals and discounts on offer. This week, Target's clearance sales continues to deliver the goods, EB is freeing up some space by selling amiibo for dirt cheap and the PlayStation store is selling Bloodborne Game of the Year (GOTY) Edition at 50% off. What a bloody bargain.

Bloodborne GOTY Edition

If you've managed to fell every last beast in Dark Souls III, truth is you probably need some time away from gaming. Honestly, you've earned it.

We'd recommend the Blue Mountains, it's beautiful this time of the year.

However, if your appetite for slaying can't be sated, we recommend moving straight on to Bloodborne. If Dark Souls III is the main meal, Bloodborne is dessert. It's a smoother, sweeter experience that provides a Gothic spin to Souls' classically medieval world.

PlayStation Store is currently selling Bloodborne GOTY Edition for $39.98. 50% cheaper than its regular asking price.

Microsoft Store is offering a free game with selected Xbox One bundles.

As has been the case for a while now, you save up to $200 on an Xbox One bundle (Kinect, Fallout 4 and Rainbow Six Siege, just to name a few).

However, customers can now throw in a copy of either Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider or Forza Motorsport 6 in the cart for no extra cost.

Target's ongoing clearance sale has been surfacing some deals that really hit the mark for gamers.

There's a bevy of great deals available in-store and online, like $4 amiibos and $149 New 3DS consoles, but the most impressive deal so far is the $299 Super Mario Maker Wii U Bundle.

If Target doesn't have that super-rare amiibo you're looking for, EB Games has got your back. EB Games is currently selling amiibo at $8 a pop.
