Save big on Apple, Samsung and Google's premium handsets with our round-up of the best weekly deals.

Every week, we compare the prices you'll pay for a variety of premium handsets from direct and local resellers. With an increasing number of Australians opting to buy phones outright, it makes sense to save the most money possible when buying a new phone, especially if you're buying in the premium space.

Apple's iPhone X is still very thin on the ground, which means that bargains are even harder to find. The same isn't true for the smaller iPhone 8, which has been on the market for some time now. Sure, you don't get the OLED display, but you get the same processor, much the same battery life and you pay a lot less, especially if you compare the best prices. The same is true for Samsung's Galaxy S8, which is still a very capable handset even if we've started hearing rumours of the Samsung Galaxy S9. Google's Pixel 2 is still a very new handset on the block, but you can still find one at discount prices if you shop around.

In each case we've selected the lowest cost version of each handset available with an online vendor, which may limit your colour choices as some vendors charge more for specific hues. Prices are as per each vendor's web site on 20/11/17 and may change without notice.

iPhone 8 Plus 256GB

The iPhone 8 is the smallest member of the 2018 iPhone family, but it shares a lot of internal similarity with the more expensive iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X.

To give you more details, including handset deals if you'd rather get one on contract, we've collected everything you need to know about the iPhone 8 here.

Here are the best deals this week for the iPhone 8 256GB from retailers selling to Australian customers.

Samsung Galaxy S8

Like the iPhone 8, Samsung's Galaxy S8 has been somewhat overshadowed by the larger Galaxy S8+ and the more recent Galaxy Note 8, but it's only lesser in screen size, with the same internal processor and Samsung's particular take on Android well and truly present, including its Bixby AI assistant software.

To help you find more information, including handset deals if you'd rather get one on contract, we've collected everything you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy S8 here.
