This week’s bargain phones: Save on iPhone X, Galaxy S9 or LG V30+

Alex Kidman 27 March 2018 NEWS

Compare prices and save big money on the flagship smartphones from Apple, Samsung and LG in our weekly round-up of the best deals.

Each week, we scour the web to find the best prices on the most popular premium handsets in Australia so you can save. If you're happy to pay upfront for your handset, there are significant savings to be made, not to mention the flexibility of switching providers on pre-paid or SIM-only contracts at will.

We've selected the lowest cost version of each handset available with an online vendor. You may find your colour choices constrained since some vendors charge more for specific hues. Prices are as advertised on each vendor's website on 27 March 2018. Availability and pricing are subject to change without notice.

iPhone X

Apple is set to announce new iPads, and maybe new MacBook devices, at its education event this week, but we're well into the release cycle for its premium phones.

That means we're seeing a little more flexibility in pricing for Apple's iPhone X, which is great news if you fancy Apple's top phone.

If your budget can't quite stretch to buying an iPhone X outright, we've gathered up everything you need to know about the iPhone X, including contract plans here.

Here are the best deals this week for the iPhone X 64GB from retailers selling to Australian customers.

Samsung Galaxy S9

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is the newest kid on the block in premium smartphone terms, but we're already seeing available discounts on Samsung's best phone yet.

It's a surprising and welcome development because while Android prices do tend to dip a little faster than their iPhone equivalents, there's usually a longer grace period than this. Still, that's a problem for Samsung's bean counters, whereas it's an opportunity for you to save.

If you'd prefer a Galaxy S9 on contract, we've collected everything you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy S9 here.

Here are this week's deals on the Samsung Galaxy S9 for you to compare:

LG V30+

The rumours are still swirling around LG's next G-series phone, but for now, it's the V30, V30+ and V30 ThinQ phones that sit as the flagship devices for the South Korean phone maker.

Here in Australia, we got the V30+, but the only key difference between the regular and plus models is in onboard storage.

If you need to know more about the LG V30+ before you buy, we've collected everything you need to know about the LG V30+ here.
