It's going to be a busy week for streaming enthusiasts.

If you're looking for some fresh content to add to your watchlist, you're in luck. This week, streaming services are releasing all sorts of goodies, from new seasons of established TV shows to shiny new series that are sure to catch your eye. There are also some excellent movies hitting streaming, so you might want to clear your schedule.

Foxtel is premiering new series Run, about two ex-lovers who activate a long-planned escape to disappear together. You should also tune in for Late Night, a delightful comedy about an acclaimed late-night show host played by Emma Thompson, and Little Monsters, a zombie comedy starring Lupita Nyong'o. Both have received critical acclaim, which means that you'll be in for a treat.

If you're looking to binge something new, Prime Video is treating subscribers to full seasons of multiple series. The list includes The Good Doctor, Timeless, Counterpart and The Goldbergs. You should also check out new show Dispatches from Elsewhere, about four strangers whose eyes are opened to a world of possibility and magic.

There's also the unsettling thriller Midsommar, which everyone seemed to be talking about upon release. The movie follows a couple that travels to Sweden and is in for a big surprise when they attend a fabled mid-summer festival.

Over at Disney+, Star Wars fans can celebrate 4 May in style with the streaming arrival of The Rise of Skywalker, the final movie in the Skywalker saga. Meanwhile, SBS On Demand is dropping the second season of Future Man, while Stan is premiering a second helping of Good Trouble.

Finally, Netflix is releasing new weekly episodes of popular animated series Rick and Morty as well as a new season of Dead to Me. Plus, there's a new Jerry Seinfeld comedy special coming your way. We also recommend fresh drama The Eddy, about a jazz club owner who deals with the everyday struggles of running a live music venue in Paris. The Eddy was directed by Damien Chazelle, the person responsible for La La Land.

Take a look at the highlights of this week's new streaming releases below. For more upcoming titles, check out our list of everything coming to streaming in May 2020.
