The new RC F range is now available from Lexus dealers.

Lexus Australia has released the new and improved RC F range to offer a lower entry price and upgraded specs for the new RC F Track edition. The new price of the base RC F model is now $134,129, a reduction of $3,600, with the Track edition coming in at $165,690.

There will be three enhancement packages for the vehicle, with the highest coming with upgrades that are otherwise unique to the limited edition Track model. All RC F models come with better aerodynamics, firmer steering control and a lighter engine, among other upgrades, aimed at providing better handling and driver feedback.

The base model also comes with single-piece high-grade LED headlights, larger front-side air breathers and canard fins to improve aerodynamic control. The revised design draws inspiration from the acclaimed Lexus RC F GT500 and RC F GT3 race cars. The RC F Track edition also includes a front lower spoiler and carbonfibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) side fins, as well as a new infuser with CFRP fixed rear wing to produce 26kg of downforce.

In terms of engine, the new RC F packs a 5.0-litre V8 generating 351kW of power at 7100pm and 530Nm torque. The Track edition comes out ahead in terms of acceleration, capable of 0-100km in 4.3 seconds, compared to 4.5 seconds for the base version.

Both models also boast a 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, 10.3-inch widescreen centre display and Lexus safety system.

Scott Thompson, CEO of Lexus Australia, believes the new versions are the best RC F models ever released. "Offering a more aggressively priced RC F and a more aggressively dynamic RC F Track Edition is an ideal twin-strategy in this performance-loving Australian market," he said.

"These highly sophisticated, proudly unique normally aspirated V8-powered coupes have never been better represented than after such comprehensive upgrades."
