The Mindy Project heading to Presto in April

Mindy Kaling's single-camera comedy The Mindy Project has found its Australian home on Presto.

30 March 2016: Miny Kaling's comedy series The Mindy Project will be arriving on Australian screens this April Fool's Day courtesy of Presto.

Fans might remember Mindy Kaling for her acting and Emmy-nominated writing on the U.S. version of The Office. Kaling's character Kelly Kapoor was an endlessly-quotable fan favourite who essentially became a walking GIF.

In 2012, Kaling left The Office to begin writing and producing her own series, The Mindy Project.

The series follows Dr. Mindy Kuhel Lahiri (Kaling) and her wacky co-workers in a New York medical practice. The premise of a romantically and professionally confused lead and her assortment of cartoonish friends might seem a bit overdone (Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, the list goes on), but Kaling's superb writing and an stellar roster of celebrity cameos (James Franco, Ellie Kemper, Seth Rogen, Julia Stiles and Kevin Smith, just to name a few) makes this series well worth the watch.

If you're keen on The Mindy Project and are money-savvy, you can binge the entire series with Presto.
