What’s in the first The Marc Jacobs collection?
Marc Jacobs is here to reintroduce himself with this contemporary new line.
After first announcing the launch of new label The Marc Jacobs late last year, the designer has finally debuted the first collection for the line. And, to sum it up in one word, the capsule is FUN.
Bringing some truly retro vibes to the table, the new ready-to-wear line draws inspiration from music, pop-culture and art to offer a truly individual sense of style.
A first look at the men and women's line last year revealed some 90s style wide-leg corduroy pants, oversized sweaters and larger-than-life accessories. Now, with the release of the collection, we can see that there are plenty more items up for grabs.
The collection is an eclectic mix featuring everything from retro graphic tees and 40s-style dresses to romantic Victorian-era blouses and midi-length pencil skirts. There are also coats, skirts, tailored pants, jeans, pyjamas, bags, shoes, jewellery and accessories to ensure that every part of your wardrobe is covered.

The best part of the collection though, is that it has been designed to provide a broad price range. This means that, along with the usual designer items, we will also see several pieces of the line fall into a much more affordable price range.
It has also been announced that collaborations will play a key role in The Marc Jacobs label, with collections by both New York Magazine and iconic cartoon Peanuts already up for grabs.
When and where can you shop the collection?
The Marc Jacobs first collection has already launched, meaning that you can shop it right now from the Marc Jacobs site. Items in the line range in price from $65-$2,940, giving all fashionistas equal opportunity to get their hands on a piece or two.
