2017's PlayStation Experience (PSX) is in full swing, and to kick things off, Sony Interactive Entertainment America's (SIEA) president Shawn Layden announced a little Christmas gift in the form of a free PlayStation VR (PSVR) experience. From next week, PSVR owners will be able to download a short 20-minute experience set in the universe of The Last Guardian.

The demo will be available from next week, Monday 12 December. In other PSVR news, WipEout Omega Collection players will receive VR support next year. A free software update will make the entire trilogy playable in VR which is not the best idea if you don't have an iron stomach.
