Now, that's what we call fast fashion.
From self-lacing sneakers to smart home technology, we've borne witness to plenty of technological marvels over the past couple of years. And while there's a good chance that it's making us all lazier, we may as well go ahead and enjoy it. This is the age of convenience, after all.
Speaking of convenience, the latest tech trend to surface seems to be having everything from your coffee to your weekly grocery shop delivered to you by drone, which is equal parts terrifying and incredibly cool. It gets cooler still with the news that online fashion platform THE ICONIC has just signed on with air delivery service Wing. Starting yesterday, the two are now working in tandem to deliver customers their shiny new purchases within mere minutes of clicking "Pay now".
The drone delivery service is presently exclusive to North Canberra suburbs such as Crace, Palmerston and Franklin. To make a purchase you will need to be signed up to Wing and make your purchase directly through the Wing app. Your order will then be flown to you straight from Wing's depot in Mitchell, so long as you order within day time hours and not on a public holiday.
Currently, only select brands are able to be purchased through the futuristic service. Labels now taking flight include Calvin Klein, Camilla & Marc, Daniel Wellington, Bonds, Ray-Ban, Le Specs, Local Supply and TIMEX.
Edits of both Atmos & Here and Staple Superior are also up for grabs to ease your Saturday afternoon outfit meltdown and sort the Father's Day gift that you completely forgot to get.

In a blog post, chief operating officer for THE ICONIC, Anna Lee has said, "THE ICONIC is renown for its world-class delivery offering — were the first major Australian retailer to pioneer three hour delivery, we piloted one-hour delivery at Fashion Week in 2018, and now we'll be the first to deliver Aussies their favourite brands in as little as ten minutes."
From burritos to golf balls, Wing also delivers a slew of other great products to the blessed folks shacked up in Northern Canberra. With plans already in the works to expand the service to Queensland too, hopefully the rest of us will soon be able to get the latest fashion trends delivered to us by a friendly neighbourhood drone too.
