Catch is heading offline for bargain hunters who prefer to find their deals in store
Are you ready to go deal hunting offline?
Today Catch announced that it is building on its online success by launching a retail store that will be ready by the end of 2017. The million dollar question is, where will it be based? At this stage, it appears that Catch is looking to launch its very first physical store in Melbourne. If you don't live there, don't worry, Catch plans to expand and create more physical stores all across Australia.
According to Inside Retail, Catch will stock 3,000-4,000 products across a wide range of categories. The store will also allow for new delivery options like Click and Collect or shopping in-store with home delivery.
According to the CEO of the Catch Group Nati Harpaz, “online retail still represents a small percentage of overall retail sales".
“Having a physical space is still the best way to acquire new customers and then, over time, migrate them to our online stores," he told Inside Retail.
“In our view, there is no online or offline, it’s just one retail. As such, it’s important to be where our customers are and provide them with the choice to shop where and when they want, whether that is online, on a mobile device via our apps or in store.”
The Catch Group also owns Scoopon, Mumgo and Grocery Run, so who knows? We may see these online stores turn to physical retail in the future too.
