The Block home up for grabs

A property from The Block is already back on the market following its 15 minutes of fame.
Kingi and Caro's famed Melbourne unit from the Blocktagon series of the Channel Nine program, which sold in November for $1.735 million, is due to hit the market again according to News Ltd. The three-bedroom unit in South Yarra is hoping to fetch more than $1.4 million.
While the expected price may seem like the new owners are taking a bath (and not one in the controversial graffiti tub installed by Kingi and Caro), the home was actually purchased at auction by charitable foundation Mater Prize Home. The unit was raffled off in April this year, with the keys handed to the new owner on May 28, News Ltd reported.
Selling agent Nathan Waterson of Jellis Craig South Yarra told News Ltd the property was expected to attract high interest from bidders.
“We’re expecting it will be popular with buyers because of it’s location and size. And it’s very sensibly priced,” he said.
Waterson told News Ltd the apartment was unique, despite the glut of apartment construction in Melbourne.
“This is an established apartment ready to move into. It certainly doesn’t have that same stigma of some of the smaller brand new developments,” he said.
