Telstra’s giving away two years of Foxtel Now with mobile plans

Watch a whole lot of Westworld without subscription fees on your new Telstra mobile plan.
Telstra has modified its mobile phone plans with additional data and an effective doubling of its existing Foxtel Now offer, which now gives you two years' worth of a Foxtel Now starter pack for any Go Mobile Plus or Go Mobile Swap plan at the L plan tier or above. Depending on your choice of starter pack, that could represent a saving of up to $360 over the two years, not counting data costs for streaming Foxtel Now content if you stream on the Telstra 4GX network.
Excluding handset costs, here's what Telstra's new Go Mobile Plus plans (which assume you're acquiring, not leasing a handset) now cost:
Telstra Go Mobile Plus Plan Name | Monthly Cost | Included data | Minimum 24 month cost |
---|---|---|---|
Telstra Go Mobile Plus S | $59 | 2GB | $1,416 |
Telstra Go Mobile Plus M | $79 | 5GB | $1,896 |
Telstra Go Mobile Plus L | $99 | 20GB | $2,376 |
Telstra Go Mobile Plus XL | $129 | 40GB | $3,096 |
Telstra Go Mobile Plus XXL | $149 | 80GB | $3,576 |
Telstra Go Mobile Plus Premium | $199 | 160GB | $4,776 |
Telstra's higher tier plans also include international calling and some data roaming capabilities.
The free Foxtel Now subscriptions join Telstra's existing free subscriptions for AFL, NRL and Australian Netball competitions. It's an increasingly busy space in the premium mobile streaming market, with Optus already offering its Optus Sport package to customers, while Vodafone recently announced mobile plans with free Netflix subscriptions.
