Telstra TV adds tenplay

Alex Kidman 23 November 2015

Channel Ten’s tenplay streaming service is now available on Telstra’s tiny set-top box.

When the Telstra TV launched back in October, it did so with a wide variety of streaming platforms ready to go.

To be specific, at launch the Telstra TV supported Presto, Netflix, SBS on Demand, PLUS7, 9JumpIn, YouTube, Red Bull TV, Awesomeness TV, Wall Street Journal, GoPro, Vimeo and Crunchy Roll, with Stan compatibility promised for "near" after launch.

Stan appeared on the service earlier this month, but that left two notable local exclusions from the Telstra TV streaming list: Channel Ten’s tenplay and ABC’s iView service.

There’s still no sign of iView, but if you’re a Telstra TV user, you should now be able to add the tenplay service as an added app alongside the existing service offerings.

As with all services outside the direct Telstra umbrella (BigPond Movies/Presto), there’s no quota free status attached to tenplay, so it would still be wise to keep an eye on your data usage.
