Telco struck by outage right after announcing $250 million dollar investment to avoid outages.

Telstra’s horror run of outages continues, with service losses this afternoon affecting business and enterprise customers of the telco across Victoria.

Telstra is at some pains to point out this doesn’t directly affect consumer mobile or broadband customers, stating via its Twitter account that:

Where you may be affected by the outage is if you’re a customer of a business relying on Telstra services that have inadvertently fallen over. Reports indicate that some Jetstar customers in Melbourne are facing grounded flights due to the outage, with multiple other smaller business owners taking to Twitter to express their annoyance at the service break.

The news has particularly poor timing for Telstra, as it only yesterday announced that it was ploughing an additional $250 million into its core and mobile networks businesses to deal with outage issues that have plagued it throughout 2016.
