Australia's largest telco is dropping big discounts on handsets so you can enter 2023 with a "new phone, new me" attitude.

From today until 9 January 2023, Telstra is slashing prices across a range of devices to keep the Christmas festive cheer going.

The Boxing Day Summer sale kicks off with some incredible savings on handsets:

  • iPhone 12 Pro – Save $150
  • Samsung S22 Ultra – Save $300
  • Samsung S21+ – Save $300
  • Samsung S21 – Save $300
  • Samsung S21 FE – Save $200
  • Samsung Z Fold3 – Save $450
  • Samsung A33 – Save $200
  • Google Pixel 6 Pro – Save $300
  • OPPO Find X3 Pro – Save $700

We've rounded up the monthly repayment and minimum total cost of these handsets when paired with the Telstra Upfront Basic plan (40GB for $58 a month) over 36 months to give you a better idea of what you'll be paying.

iPhone 12 Pro – Save $150

A couple of years old now, the iPhone 12 Pro still holds up as a quality premium phone with all the bells and whistles you can expect. Plus, it won't hurt your wallet compared to the latest iPhone 14 models.

It's now on sale from $105.74 per month over 36 months.

Total minimum cost: $3,807

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra – Save $300

Switching it up to something a little more recent, the S22 Ultra is a big phone that packs big features including the return of the S-pen, a choc-a-bloc camera system and incredible improvements under the hood.

It can be yours from $101.02 per month over 36 months.

Total minimum cost: $3,637

Samsung Galaxy S21+ – Save $300

The S21+ is smaller than the Ultra and isn't as new as the S22+. However, it still holds up well in today's competitive market.

It can be yours from $92.32 per month over 36 months.

Total minimum cost: $3,324

Samsung Galaxy S21 – Save $300

What you might call the base model of the 2021 Galaxy line-up, the Samsung Galaxy S21 will be just the right fit for those who want a flagship phone with a decent price tag.

That's even better now that it's on sale, available from $84.32 per month over 36 months.

Total minimum cost: $3,036

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE – Save $200

No, it's not the same as the S21. The FE has a slightly better front-facing camera – perfect for taking selfies in the new year.

It's available from $80.19 per month over 36 months.

Total minimum cost: $2,887

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 – Save $450

Want to know what all the fuss is about with foldable phones? Now might be your chance.

Last year's model of the Galaxy Z Fold has all the luxury of being a premium phone without the Fold4's premium pricetag.

Get it from $114.91 per month over 36 months.

Total minimum cost: $4,137

Samsung Galaxy A33 – Save $200

The A series of Samsung Galaxy phones is not to be overlooked. It wasn't the cheapest A-series phone when it debuted but our reviews team thought it packed the most value.

Head into the new year with the A33 from $69.07 per month over 36 months.

Total minimum cost: $2,487

Google Pixel 6 Pro – Save $300

The Pixel 6 Pro was a return to form for the Google flagship. Perfect for those in the Google ecosystem, the Pixel 6 Pro has a large battery life and lots of camera features.

It's available from $85.74 per month over 36 months.

Total minimum cost: $3,087

OPPO Find X3 Pro – Save $700

Two words sum up the Find X3: microscope lens. A bit of a gimmick apart from the microscope lens, the Find X3 Pro holds up as a decent all-around phone with powerful performance.

With the biggest discount in this Boxing Day sale, the Find X3 Pro is available for as little as $80.18 per month over 36 months.

Total minimum cost: $2,887
