One of the latest ride-share services to hit the Australian market, Taxify launched its local services in December 2017, bringing with it 50% off fares for the first month.

While the special has since ended, the service still offers discounts like 25% off. They appear at the bottom of the screen, after you've opened the app. However, these deals aren't available all the time.

Check back here and we'll post the Taxify offers we know about.

Does Taxify offer fare estimates like Uber?

Yes. You can get a fare estimate inside the app.

After you enter your pick-up and drop-off points, above the green "Request Taxify" button there will be price estimate range.

Is Taxify cheaper than Uber?

At the moment, yes. The company does claim that is is cheaper than Uber and as it's still new in Australia is offering discounts to sway riders to change apps.

It's offered 50% off fares in both Melbourne and Sydney for it's first month of operation. After this ends, it drops down to 25% off, which is still in place. Once this offer ends, we'll update this space.

Taxify payment options

Taxify currently accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express for payments, which you'll need to set up within the app before you ride.
