Syscoin is a blockchain platform intended to create applications that utilise the renowned safety and decentralised nature of Bitcoin. The network uses Zero-Confirmation Directed Acyclic Graph (Z-DAG) and a large number of masternodes to ensure the blockchain’s scalability and high transactions per second (having recorded a TPS of over 60,000).
Syscoin originally began as one of the first-ever decentralised marketplaces hosted on the blockchain, but it has since expanded into having much broader potential applications. The platform allows for the deployment of smart contracts, which provides e-commerce blockchain solutions for businesses. Users can also mint their own coins on the Syscoin network. For the most part though, Syscoin provides blockchain customers with access to thousands of items on a decentralised marketplace with fast payments and low transaction fees.
