The seedy underside of Sydney is also home to some of its finest features. These days Darlinghurst is a little less Underbelly, a little more Sex and the City. By that, we don’t mean it’s full of women wearing high heels and looking for "The One", but rather a rotating door of new cocktail lounges, pop-ups, and a late night venue or two.

Sure, it’s still a little grotty, but that’s half the fun. And you never know what goes on behind closed doors...
