First Look: Storybook Cosmetics’ Mean Girls palette is so fetch
You can't sit with us... unless you're a fan of Mean Girls and Storybook Cosmetics.
Mean Girls is easily one of the most quotable movies we've ever seen, so when we first heard that Storybook Cosmetics was launching a Mean Girls palette we rushed home for an immediate re-watch.
It's a palette that will 100% make you grab your friends and say, "Get in loser, we're going shopping", so get ready.
With 12 incredibly pigmented colours, the palette is shaped exactly like the Burn Book and (in true Storybook Cosmetics style) the shade names have us in stitches. From She Doesn't Even Go Here to You Can't Sit With Us, every shade is so typically Mean Girls that we can't even deal.
The complete list of shade names include: Is Butter A Carb?, Grool, Glen Coco, So Fetch, Wednesday, She Doesn't Even Go Here, Mouse Duh, Regina George, The Plastics, You Can't Sit With Us, Cool Mom and October 3rd. Obviously with this palette there are a set of rules: with shades named Wednesday and October 3rd, it would be a crime not to wear them on those days!
Our favourite colours are definitely Cool Mom (a vivid aqua shade that we can definitely picture on Amy Poehler) and of course, the bright pink Wednesday. There's a mixture of matte and shimmer shades, so it's actually quite versatile.
Plus, with Halloween coming up next week, instead of going scary and creepy we're convinced that you should use the shade Mouse Duh as inspiration for a Karen costume – all you need is a headband with ears!
The palette will be available on the Storybook Cosmetics website on 1 November at 12pm Central Standard Time. Now, unfortunately, that means it'll be available on November 2nd at about 4am Australian time, but the stock is usually pretty high so it shouldn't matter if you wait until a reasonable hour to get your Mean Girls fix.
While you're on the site, make sure you check out some of the other recent collections and palettes that Storybook Cosmetics have launched lately, including a super sweet Charlie and the Chocolate Factory palette. Plus, there are some really cool upcoming palettes, including a Star Wars palette and a Van Gogh-themed Starry Night palette.
