This Christian Louboutin x Star Wars collab is out of this world
Star Wars fever has hit and it has now reached one-of-a-kind designer heights.
If you love sci-fi, designer shoes and are dying to go see Star Wars: The Last Jedi when it hits theatres next week, brace yourself because you're going to love this. Iconic designer Christina Louboutin has made his mark on the series, collaborating with Lucasfilm and Disney to create five incredible shoes, inspired by the powerful female characters in the film.
Yes, all inspired by the ladies! The film features four incredibly powerful female characters (Rey, Captain Phasma, Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo and Rose Tico) and each shoe is designed to reflect their characters, as well as an additional avant-garde "showpiece" shoe with Louboutin's (wait for it) six inch Ballerina Ultima design.

The shoe designed for Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, features a brown leather wraparound ankle strap with a glittering blue heel to match her lightsaber and melds both her desert upbringing and future with the Force. The Captain Phasma shoe (whose character is played in the film by Game of Thrones favourite Gwendolyn Christie) is a shiny chrome with a curved heel and dark silver embellishments.
Though we're yet to become familiar with Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo and Rose Tico, the shoes designed for their characters have us amazed. Vice Admiral Holdo (played by Laura Dern) inspired a deep aubergine-coloured shoe with layers of material. Her character has vivid purple hair, so we're not surprised by the colour choice! Rose Tico (played by Kelly Marie Tran) is a Resistance mechanic, so her shoes reflect that in metallic bronze and gold, with a large ribbon-style ankle wrap.
Each design integrates a gem in the shape of a TIE Fighter, linking them all together as a cohesive collection. It's not the first time Louboutin has collaborated with Disney – he created designs for Maleficent and Cinderella – but it's still a huge deal for all Star Wars fans.
Unfortunately, the shoes aren't actually available for public purchase – BUT if you've got especially deep pockets and feel like being charitable, they are up for auction to raise money for the Starlight Children's Foundation. Gorgeous, Star Wars-inspired, designer AND for a good cause? We're obsessed.
