Stan deals and offers for October 2019

Sign up to Stan and stream top quality movies & TV shows in Australia.

Stan isn't currently offering any deals or promotions for its service. It does, however, offer a 30-day free trial for all new customers, giving Aussies who haven't used the service before a chance to check out its entire catalogue of TV shows and movies at no charge.

To take advantage of this free trial, head over to the Stan website and click the "Start your free trial" button. You'll need to provide payment details as part of the sign-up process, but you won't be charged during the trial period. Just remember to cancel before the 30 days is up to avoid ongoing charges.

What is Stan?

Stan is an Australian video-on-demand service that’s accessible with a monthly subscription. Just like Netflix, Stan is a BYO hardware service, which means that you’ll need a compatible device (like a Smart TV, gaming console, computer or smartphone) to access its content.

Like most other streaming services, Stan is available across multiple devices. This means that you can watch on your phone or tablet as well as on your TV. Certain plan tiers actually allow you to stream on multiple devices at one time. Meaning one family member or friend can be streaming from the comfort of the couch and the other can be streaming No Activity on the bus to work.

What TV Shows & Movies are available on Stan?

Stan has made some incredibly lucrative distribution deals over the years, the most recent being deals with MGM, Starz and Lionsgate. Stan has also produced a range of quality originals, like comedies No Activity and The Other Guy and high-intensity drama with Romper Stomper and Wolf Creek.

      Hi Melodie,

Thanks for leaving a question on finder.

I strongly suggest that you verify this with Stan if they have ongoing promotions and if they indeed sent you an email. They can guide you on how to claim your prize or if you got a spam email aimed to scam you. Hope this gets resolved soon.

      Cheers,
      Joel

I don’t have Wi-Fi at home and rely on my data on my phone, are you able to download movies or shows whilst in a Wi-Fi area and then watch them later without using your data?

      Hi Denise,

      Thanks for your inquiry

Yes, you can now download movies and shows and watch them later offline. Due to Netflix having this feature, Stan also opened up this option for their users. Please click here to view more information about this.

      Hope this information helps

      Cheers,
      Arnold

      Hi Sam,

      Thanks for your question.

Just to confirm, you’ve come through to finder.com.au we are an Australian financial comparison website and general information service, not actually Stan.

Please see below on how you can cancel your subscription with Stan.

      1. Go to Stan website and log into your account.
      2. Select ‘My Account’
      3. Then locate the ‘Cancel your subscription’ option and follow the prompts.

Please note that your service will not end right away, but it will stop at the end of your last billed period.

      Hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      May

    Hi,

Is there any way I can purchase a Stan gift card, or pay for a certain period of subscription for someone?

    Thanks,

    Andrew

      Hi Andrew,

Unfortunately not. You can only pay an account if you’re logged into the service as the account holder.

      Cheers,

      Brodie

How do u delete the viewing history ?

      Hi Sarah,

      Thanks for your question.

At the moment Stan does not have an option for you to delete your viewing history. If you would like to keep your history private, you can create a profile for yourself which can be safeguarded by password and deleted when required.

      Hope this has helped,

      Stephanie

      Hi Brenda,

If you’d like to cancel your Stan service, please follow these steps:

      – Log on to Stan website using a web browser
      – Click on your profile image (next to the account holder’s name)
      – Click ‘Manage Account’
      – Click ‘Cancel your subscription’ (about half way down the page)

Unless you’re still on the trial version, your service will deactivate at the end of the billing month.

      Hope that helps,

      Brodie
