    Hello,

I have signed up to this card and spent the required $2500 within a few weeks, it says that the 30,000 bonus points will appear in my Qantas FF account within 90 days of the qualifying spend.

I am looking at taking out a home loan and in order to so, have to close down my credit card account (it currently has a balance of $0 as it has been paid in full), what I am wanting to know is whether or not I’ll still receive the Qantas points if I now close the account down?

    Thanks in advance

      Hi Stuart,

      Thanks for your question.

The bonus Qantas Points will be credited to your points balance within 12 weeks after the eligible spend criteria being met. Therefore you must wait for the bonus points to be credited first to your Qantas FF account before you close your St. George credit card account, otherwise, you won’t be able to receive them.

      Cheers,
      May

Do they allow balance transfers from another persons card? I also have a westpac card already is the interest free balance transfer offer still valid for me?

    • Staff
      Jonathan | September 22, 2016

Hi Vince, thanks for your inquiry!

Balance transfers between two separate cardholder names are not permitted, unless they are in a joint-account name.

Balance transfers from Westpac to St. George are allowed, so this balance transfer offer will be valid for you.

      Cheers,

      Jonathan

I have used my St George Amplify card to purchase online airline tickets and accommodation overseas. How does the complimentary travel insurance component of this card work here? Thank you.

      Chester | August 17, 2016

      Hello Alison.

      Thanks for your question.

To be eligible for this complimentary overseas travel insurance, before leaving Australia, you must have a return overseas travel ticket, and need to have prepaid at least A$500 of your travel costs using your eligible card. Travel costs include:

      Return overseas travel tickets
      Airport/departure taxes
      Prepaid overseas accommodation
      Prepaid overseas itinerary items.
Please note for overseas travel insurance, the cover is only available to persons up to and including 80 years of age. Also, you will only be covered by the following:

Medical and hospital expenses incurred overseas
Loss or damage to personal property
      Legal liability
      Rental vehicle excess
Unexpected cancellation of travel arrangements and other unexpected expenses.
Limits apply if you have eligible pre-existing medical conditions.

if you have further questions please feel free to contact QBE for more info.

      I hope this helps.

      Cheers!

    Hi there,

Will I earn points if I make a deposit into major gambling sites?

    Cheers,

    • Staff
      Sally | February 29, 2016

      Hi Jane,

      Thanks for your question.

The St.George Amplify Rewards terms and conditions consider the purchase of tokens or gambling tokens as a cash advance and cash advances don’t accrue points.

Therefore, it’s unlikely that your gambling purchases will earn points.

      I hope this has helped.

      Cheers,

      Sally

      Hi Gemma,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

Unfortunately, any government charges that may be charged to your card account are not eligible to earn rewards points.

Kindly refer to the link I sent to your email for more information.

      I hope this has helped.

      Cheers,

I was originally advised that our credit card had reward points not for flights but for purchasing items from different retail stores how can I find out this information is true and what our balance is, it was part of the package that came when we took out our home loan.

    • Staff
      Sally | December 17, 2015

      Hello Kalliopy,

While you can only earn points on purchases made with your St.George Amplify Signature credit card, you can redeem your rewards for either Amplify rewards (to redeem your merchandise, gift cards, travel deals and experiences via the Amplify store) or Qantas Frequent Flyer points.

You can check your balance by logging into your St.George Amplify rewards account online.

I’ve emailed you a link to the St.George Amplify Signature Credit Card rewards page for further information.

      Cheers,

      Sally

      Hi David,

      Thanks for your question.

As stated in the St.George Amplify Qantas Rewards terms and conditions, St.George Amplify Signature credit card holders can earn 0.75 points for every $1 spent on eligible purchases at any Australian merchant and 1.5 points for each $1 spent on eligible purchases at any overseas merchant. I’ve emailed you a link to St.George’s rewards terms and conditions for your perusal.

On the other hand, you do not earn points on balance transfers, BPAY transactions and cash advances.

      I hope this has helped.
