Spring accessory trends to wear in 2021

These accessories will be the cherry on top of all your cute spring 'fits.

We’re reader-supported and may be paid when you visit links to partner sites. We don’t compare all products in the market, but we’re working on it!

The right accessory can perfect any outfit and the warmer months is the time to make a statement with bold colours and playful patterns. With that in mind, I've scoured TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest and only the most stylish corners of the Internet to round up the fashion accessories you need on your arm (or fingers, feet or noggin) this spring. Including Y2K inspired phone charms and colourful beaded jewellery to chic micro handbags, we're in for a treat this year.

I'm a sucker for getting the look for less, so I've included a list of where you can shop each trend without blowing your budget too. Enjoy!

1. Bubble rings

Many of this year's fashion trends are a homage to playful trends from the 00s and 90s, including bubble rings and chunky plastic jewellery. The trend has gotten the tick of approval from it gals like Kylie Jenner, Dua Lipa and Bella Hadid and it's a cute way to add a splash of colour and fun to any outfit.

3. Phone charms

4. Colourful beaded jewellery

Category is: Friendship bracelets but make it fashion. Whether it's a necklace, bracelet or anklet, beaded jewellery is back in a big way this spring. There are plenty of ways to rock this trend too including summery glass beads, plastic pastels or customised alphabet charms.

5. Vibrant bandanas and head scarves

If you want to nail the French girl aesthetic in one accessory, it's a vibrant silk scarf. Not only are they très chic, but also really versatile. You can wear it in your hair, around your neck or tie it to your handbag.

6. Statement sunglasses

Forget the tiny sunnies trend, we're all about oversized frames in 2021. And we're not mad about it. Any pair of sunnies that transforms me into a 1970s rock god gets a big ol' tick from me. Whether you go for a blue tint, black frame with yellow shades or a brown tortoise shell, huge sunglasses instantly add some glamour to any outfit.

7. Platform sandals

Chunky boots had a big moment during winter, so it's no surprise that platforms aren't going anywhere during the warmer months.

Whether it's a baguette bag, micro purse or quilted handbag a la Bottega Venetta, colourful and petite handbags are THE accessory to have on your arm this spring. You can pull off that soft girl look with a pastel shade of pink or blue or go for something a little more bold like an electric yellow or striking chartreuse.
