$4 million in travel vouchers for South Australians: Are you eligible?
Here's exactly what you need to do to get your hands on them.
Calling all South Australians! It's time to set your clocks because there are $4 million worth of travel vouchers up for grabs.
The Great State Voucher scheme comes as a saving grace to hotel providers across the metropolitan and regional areas who have been struggling as a result of COVID-19.
With the drop in state tourism, South Australia's premier, Steven Marshall said, "This is a call to arms for South Australians to continue to back the local tourism industry by rewarding themselves with a guilt-free 'staycation' in one of our many excellent hotels or accommodation providers."
How does the voucher work?
The process comes in three easy steps. South Australian residents over the age of 18 must first apply via a registration form to the ATDW which provides access to a specialised portal.
Then from 9am, 15 October 2020, residents are able to collect their Great State Voucher. Keep in mind you'll have to validate it through the portal and approve the details of your booking.
Once you've completed the stay, you can claim a rebate from the South Australia Tourism Commission. The total value of the stay must be at least $1 more than the discounted amount. This means your stay must cost at least $101 in the CBD and $51 in regional areas.
Residents have until 11:59, 31 October 2020 to activate the vouchers and are required to present a valid South Australia driver's licence. Travel applies between 15 October and 11 December 2020.
Bookings must be made directly through the hotel and Saturday nights are excluded from the offer.
Where can it be used?
You'll have access to a single $100 Adelaide CBD voucher (5000 and 5006 postcodes) as well as a $50 voucher for regional South Australia.
Just some of the confirmed accommodation sites include the Adelaide Hotel and Crowne Plaza, Middleton Beach Huts, Mayfair Hotel and the Hilton Adelaide.
Forget paying full price and see where you can save with all the top Australian travel deals in one place.
