Qantas has flights to four of South America's favourite hot spots from $1,099 return.

It doesn't matter which city you take off to either, be it Lima, Rio, Sao Paulo or Santiago, as fares to all four cities start at this price on departures from Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Flights are also available from Perth for a touch more.

On these fares you can travel from February to September 2018. In terms of weather, you can hardly do better with April to June being prime time to party around Brazil and May to September boasting clear skies and dry weather in Peru. Argentina and Chile are pretty good to visit year-round, though winter is often a beautiful respite from the heat of summer, boasting idyllic weather for sightseeing and outdoor pursuits.

When it comes to price, this sale is right up there with some of the best as most sales between Australia and South America toe the $1,000 mark. You can also earn valuable Qantas Frequent Flyer points on your trip if you're playing the points game.

This sale runs until midnight 20 October 2017, unless sold out. It's part of a larger, Fly Away sale which includes discounted fares across Qantas' international network including flights to Hawaii, USA and Japan.

Flights to Santiago and Lima can be booked through Flight Centre here.

Flights to Rio de Janiero and Sao Paulo can be found via Flight Centre's search bar.
