Yes, SoulCycle is taking its brand to the next level. This cult-favourite brand is launching its very own line of activewear.
It's called Soul by SoulCycle.
For all the SoulCycle fans out there who are ready and waiting with their credit cards in hand, the line is already available for purchase – and you haven't already spent all your money on James Charles' new activewear line. You can buy it on the SoulCycle website or check it out when it drops into both Nordstrom and Lululemon.
A complete capsule, the line includes tanks, tees, full leggings, shorter leggings and of course, some very supportive sports-bras. There are even some cosy jackets for those cold morning walks into the studio.
This isn't your ordinary brand of activewear, this is a brand that has been created and designed by a brand that understands the needs of high-intensity exercise. Tested on both instructors and SoulCycle customers, the range was trialled by different body shapes, sizes and types hundreds of times. This is a line of sportswear that knows how you move and how you sweat.
"We're building [the line] off of 12 years of understanding of what our customer wants, as well as feedback on what both instructors and riders want from a design and performance perspective," Caroline Gogolak SoulCycle's VP of Retail told Fashionista.
But apparently it was the instructors who had one of the most significant inputs into design and function. Gogolack said: "Instructors are the voice and face of the brand, so they need to be confident when they're up there on the podium."
But, hasn't SoulCycle been selling activewear for ages you might ask? Well, yes. The brand has been selling apparel and SoulCycle branded pieces in its studios for close to 10 years. But these pieces have been collaborations with other big brands like Target, Fila or The Upside, or other simple white-label clothing adorned with SoulCycle logos.
This is the brand's first go at creating its very own line of intuitive and functional sportswear.
Take a look at some of the pieces below.
