Sony Xperia 1 vs Android flagship phones

Alex Kidman 7 March 2019 NEWS

Sony's new flagship promises cinema-grade phone experiences, but how does it compare against the best Android flagships?

While the future of Sony phones in Australia seems to be somewhat in doubt, that didn't stop the Japanese maker from debuting its new flagship at MWC 2019.

The Sony Xperia 1 sells itself on both its screen and camera quality, and our brief Sony Xperia 1 hands-on certainly suggests that it's got a compelling story to tell.

Sony's position in Australia seems tenuous – although officially the company hasn't said anything one way or another – but you could always import an Xperia 1 once they go on sale. However, you'd want to weigh that purchase choice up against the many available handsets in the premium Android space.

You can use the table below to quickly and easily compare the Sony Xperia 1 against some of the most popular Android handsets currently available. Simply choose up to four different handsets by checking the "compare" checkbox and you can see how they stack up side-by-side. You can click "Load More" at the bottom to add more phones to compare if you don't see the model you're keen on.
