Soak up the sun with flights to the Philippines from $119 each way

Here's your ticket to explore over 7,000 islands from Sydney or Melbourne.

To help make your Easter celebrations just that little bit sweeter, from today until 28 March Cebu Pacific is offering more-than-affordable flights to the Philippines.

You can treat yourself and your wallet to a getaway in paradise for as low as $119 each way, but you really need to be quick about it because these prices will likely sell out before you've even noticed that they're there.

The $119 fares are for direct flights from Sydney to Manila from January to March 2019.

Most 2019 flights seem to be sold out already, but you might still be able to catch a flight from Sydney to Manila from $199 one way for travel between August and December 2018. At the time of writing, these are still available, but who knows for how long.

There are also discounted fares from Melbourne to Manila from $219 one way for travel between 14 August and 27 October 2018.

If you're planning ahead and know exactly where you want to spend your beach time, then flights from Sydney to a slew of local spots are going for $249 one way as well. Destinations like Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dumaguete, General Santos, Iloilo, Legazpi, Puerto Princesa, Tacloban or Tagbilaran are on sale for travel between August and December 2018.

All of these fares are on sale until 30 March unless sold out prior, which is very likely to happen.

To book your seat, we suggest heading to Skyscanner where we found fares for as low as $354 return.

How good are these fares?

As far as travel dates go, you'll need to be quick to snap up the best ones. We suggest aiming for November and December for the best deal.

Sightseeing can really be done at any time of the year in the Philippines, but for the least amount of rain, it’s best to visit from November to April. One of the best months in which to visit the Philippines is November. It has perfect beach and snorkelling weather and it falls outside of the peak tourist season.

Price-wise, these are not the cheapest fares we've seen. Jetstar has dropped its prices to as low as $315 return from Sydney, and Cebu Pacific itself offered introductory fares from Melbourne to Manila for $109 one way just last month. However, when you compare these prices to regular sale fares, you're still getting a good deal, especially if you can snap up some of the cheapest fares through Skyscanner before they're gone.
