Most popular Vans sneaker models

If you're looking to invest in a pair of Vans, but you can't quite decide which ones to go for, we're here to help. We've selected the three styles that appear most often in Vans' new collections, meaning that each style is available in a huge variety of prints and designs.

1. SK8-Hi

Vans Sk8-Hi

With its high cut, padded ankle, the SK8-Hi provides the ultimate protection from wayward skateboards. As well as being a practical skate shoe, this design has also become one of the most coveted lifestyle shoes around. You can cop them in a bunch of great colourways and designs, making it easy to find a pair that suits your personal style.

2. Era

Vans Era sneakers

Originally referred to as Vans #95, the Eras were designed by professional American skateboarders Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta. The extra padding in the ankle collar may have been designed for skaters, but the comfortable nature of the shoes has now seen them become a popular choice with the fashion crowd too. Able to be paired with anything from jeans to dresses, Eras are an absolute wardrobe staple.

3. Slip On

Vans Slip On sneakers

If you're looking for a pair of lifestyle shoes that are equal parts fashionable and comfortable, you can't go past Vans Slip Ons. The silhouette famously comes in the Vans checkerboard pattern, which is the style worn by Sean Penn in the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The appearance of the shoes in the film skyrocketed Vans sales and made the checkerboard iteration one of the most popular Slip On designs to date.

About Vans

Founded in Anaheim in 1966, Vans was first launched by Gordon C Lee and brothers Paul Van Doren and James Van Doren under the moniker The Van Doren Rubber Company. After refusing for years to spend money on advertising, the label eventually paid professional skateboarder Stacy Peralta to wear Vans during contests. After that, the shoes became hugely popular within the skateboarding community. An appearance of the Slip On model in the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High then saw sales skyrocket on a global level, cementing the brand's status as a leading streetwear brand.
