When taking off to Europe, you can always count on Thai Airways for cheap seats that don't scrimp on luxury. The 4-star airline has just launched a sale on trips to Zurich in Switzerland with fares from Perth flying off the shelves for as little as $964 return.

Naturally, other departure cities haven't been forgotten. There are also Melbourne fares from $1,055 return, Sydney fares from $1,072 return and Brisbane from $1,073 return.

Travel is available for various dates throughout November 2017 and between February-June 2018.

Choose to take an early Christmas break with a November flight and you can spend your days scouring the city's famous Christmas market, which opens 23 November. Here you can indulge in Swiss fondue, raclette and other local delicacies. November is also prime ski season and with the Swiss Alps around an hour's train ride from Zurich, spending a day or more at the slopes is not a maybe, it's a must.

For those whose preference is toward warmer weather and longer sightseeing days, aim to travel closer to June, which is the beginning the European summer.

These flights are only on sale until sold out and with so many ideal dates on offer, we don't anticipate they'll hang around at this price for very long.

A full list of routes and dates can be found on I Want That Flight here, which is also where you can find the cheapest place to book your tickets.
