Beauty product of the week: Skin Republic Charcoal Peel-Off face mask
Because there are very few things as satisfying as peeling off a mask in one go.
Why we love this product
I'll be the first to admit that I have a bit of a mask addiction. Okay, a huge mask addiction. There's nothing I love more than slathering products over my face in the pursuit of a luminous, flawless complexion. A girl can dream, right?
So when I say that I really love a mask, it means I've done the hard yards with testing. If you can convince me to let go of my regular regimen of masks then you've got yourself a winner and the Skin Republic Charcoal Peel-Off face mask is one that earns every last accolade.
Charcoal masks have been making the rounds over social media for a while now, and it's not difficult to surmise why. From the benefits to the colour and everything in between, you can barely take a step into Priceline before coming face to face (mask) with a charcoal product.
The idea of a jet black face mask soothes my 2009 emo music-loving soul, and the Skin Republic mask does not disappoint. It's easily one of the most opaque masks I've tried – just a little bit goes on totally black and won't leave streaks of skin peeking through.
The properties of the mask are the real shining stars here though. Not only does it exfoliate, but it also removes blackheads and makes your skin feel incredibly smooth. And frankly, peeling off the mask after 30 minutes of relaxation is one of the most satisfying feelings in the world.
Skin Republic is known for being "dermatologist tested", so even though I'm usually apprehensive with my sensitive skin, I feel like I'm in good hands. And true to form, I didn't have any issues.
If you love a good face mask, have an obsession with charcoal and a compulsion to peel, the Skin Republic Charcoal Peel-Off face mask is the one for you – and you won't regret it one bit.
Affordability
One of the most popular elements of the Skin Republic Charcoal Peel-Off face mask is that it retails for only $9.99. With enough product for three mask applications within one sachet (with a twist cap for ease), that means you're only paying roughly $3.33 a mask. Now, I'm not sure about you, but that sounds like a pretty fantastic deal to me.
Where you can buy it
You can get your hands on a sachet of the Skin Republic Charcoal Peel-Off face mask at Priceline, Chemist Warehouse and the Skin Republic website (though it's often sold out on the latter).
