This new payment platform is changing the buy now pay later scene by allowing your friends or family to help you make your payments in full. So, if you're waiting for your next paycheque but desperately need that new dress now, you can send your pals a link to your cart and ask them to shout it for you. What does this mean exactly? It means that you can still get your item now, but fee-free and interest-free, unlike other current payment options.

What is YouPay?

YouPay is an alternative method of payment that allows you to give someone else the ability to pay for your shopping cart with no fees or interest. Not only does this remove the stress element of potential debt like in other buy now pay later platforms or credit products, it's also a useful tool for foolproof gift giving. Simply add to cart the items you actually want, send the link off to your generous shopper and they complete the purchase.

How does it work?

Using YouPay is simple and secure, but we've broken down the process step-by-step below:

  1. Shop for your desired products on participating websites and add them to your online shopping cart as you normally would.
  2. At checkout, instead of entering your credit card details, select "YouPay".
  3. You will be redirected to a YouPay window where you'll need to enter your email address and basic information to ensure that you (the shopper) will receive your delivery.
  4. YouPay will then automatically generate a secure payment link.
  5. Copy the link and send it to your chosen payer.
  6. Your payer will receive your link and will be able to complete the transaction by entering their PayPal/credit card details.
  7. Once payment is complete, the business will be notified and begin processing your order.

Is YouPay safe?

Yes, YouPay links are fully encrypted meaning that all links are secure. The payment platform also keeps your name and address private from your payer or shopper, and does not store any credit card details. The only thing that your payer will see is your cart.

By now, you're ready to use YouPay! It's free and easy, with practically no set-up time. Now get shopping and nominate your favourite payers.
