5 shows to watch while you wait for Stranger Things season 5

There's a good chance you have finished season 4 of Stranger Things by now. There's not only the excitement factor of watching when it drops, but wanting to avoid spoilers.

If you didn't know, Stranger Things season 4 is on Netflix, and you can watch it there right now.

So, what on earth are you going to watch while waiting for the new season? We dug up 5 shows that are along similar lines. Think mysterious small town goings on, young kids fighting back against powerful forces – that kind of vibe.

Oh, and minor spoilers ahead for Stranger Things season 4 part 1 ahead.

The Twilight Zone

Everything is not as it seems in this anthology series. The reboot of The Twilight Zone in 2019 from Jordan Peele had plenty of sci-fi, mystery and horror elements, just like Stranger Things. Case in point? Check out season 1, episode 4's A Traveler, where a mysterious man's (Steven Yeun from The Walking Dead) arrival at a remote Alaska police station's Christmas party prompts a sergeant to investigate his ulterior motives. There's plenty of mystery similar to Stranger Things season 4, from Hopper in Russia to the new lab.

You can watch The Twilight Zone on Paramount Plus. The service offers a 7-day trial for new users, so you can check it out for no cost. Subscriptions cost $8.99 a month after that. As a bonus you also get the original series which started in 1959, as well as the 1980s reboot.
