Today marks the 31st Red Nose Day here in Australia and, while plenty of progress has been made in raising awareness of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), there's still a long way to go. In support of the initiative, homewares brand Sheridan is continuing its five year partnership with Red Nose Day and is set to host two safe sleeping workshops to help you keep your little ones safe.
The sessions will run on 25 August at the Brookvale store at 10am and the Bondi Junction store at 12.30pm. The 30-minute workshops will be run by Red Nose Chief Midwife, Jane Wiggill, who will cover a range of topics including showing you how to safely swaddle your bub and prepare a cot for safe sleeping.
The workshops will also include a Q&A segment so that you can speak to an expert about how best to keep your little one sleeping safely. In addition to the informative session, parents and caregivers who attend will also score themselves 20% off of the entire Sheridan baby collection, which is definitely something you're going to want because the line is absolutely adorable.

In addition to the safe sleeping workshops, every Sheridan store will also sell a range of Red Nose Day merchandise today, with all proceeds going to Red Nose to continue its research. So, if you're in the market for new homewares, today is a great day to pick yourself up some new goodies while supporting a truly worthwhile cause.
If you'd like more information on safe sleeping, you can also head on over to Sheridan's website to see posts and videos about tummy time and safe sleeping environments.
If you'd like to make a donation to Red Nose Day, you can do so on its website.
