Where it is? A tropical chain of 115 islands, the Seychelles can be found in the Indian Ocean off the west coast of Africa to the north of Madagascar and east of Tanzania and Kenya.

How do I get there? There are no direct flights to the Seychelles from Australia. However, you can get there with just one stop by going through places like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Johannesburg, Mauritius and Mumbai.

When should I go? April/May and October/November are the best times to go as it's between the rainy season (December to March), there's the least amount of wind and the water is clearest for diving and snorkelling.

What should I do? Diving and snorkeling, fishing, bird watching and surfing are all popular things to do in the Seychelles.
