selena gomez puma announcement -738

Selena Gomez has joined the Puma family. Could a design collaboration be in the works?

Earlier today, it was announced that Selena Gomez is the latest addition to Puma's stellar line up of celebrity ambassadors. The current Puma IT-crowd includes the Weeknd (Selena's boyfriend), Rihanna and Kylie Jenner.

Selena took to Instagram to announce that she had joined the Puma family just eight hours ago. Posing in a branded sports bra and big sunglasses, Selena wrote: "Officially part of the fam."

Puma also announced the partnership on Instagram: "Fearless talent and queen of Instagram joins the family."

The first images we've seen from this long-term partnership feature Selena posing in the brand's new Phenom sneakers. But according to Vogue, this is just the beginning. Selena will apparently be designing future Puma products and potentially directing future campaigns.

A recent study from YouGov BrandIndex revealed that Puma is one of the 20 most popular brands and the third most popular fashion brand with millennial customers. A statistic which is hardly surprising given its partnerships with some of the most popular young faces of today. And now that Selena has joined the design crew, we're sure that things are about to get even better.
