Or bundle up a flights + nights package from $915 return.

Air New Zealand is heating things up this winter, running a sale on flights to Rarotonga on the Cook Islands.

The best prices are for flights from Sydney starting from $559 return. Fares do jump when departing from other cities including Melbourne to Rarotonga from $849 return and Brisbane to Rarotonga from $855 return.

Travel is for select dates from 3 August to 31 August and 2 November to 7 December 2018.

You can also find holiday packages included in the sale with flights and 6 nights accommodation from $915 per person with the best-priced packages on Sydney departures.

These flights and packages are on sale until midnight 4 July, so you'll need to hustle to take advantage of them.

They can all be booked direct through Flight Centre here, which is also where you'll find a wealth of package options to save money and sort your holiday with a few clicks of a button.

How good are these fares?

Compared to the last Air New Zealand sale, you're saving at least $39 on the Sydney route, $29 from Melbourne and $23 from Brisbane so you’re definitely on to a winner.

Looking at a recent Virgin Australia sale, you’re certainly paying more, especially for flights out of Melbourne and Brisbane. These were for dates during the hurricane season though, so if you’re happy to pay a bit more then you’re also getting some of the lowest price for great dates.
